Join Adventures In Paradise and Shell Museum Director/Curator, Dr. José Leal, For A Shelling Adventure To North Captiva!
On December 19, 2009 Adventures In Paradise is sponsoring a boat trip and shelling adventure, led by the area's leading shell expert, Dr. José H. Leal, Director/Curator for the Shell Museum. Dr. Leal will assist with shell identification as well as lead a discussion on mollusks and the environment. Adventures In Paradise will donate all event proceeds to The Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum.
Participants will board a 45 foot powered catamaran and enjoy a beautiful one hour cruise through the intracoastal waterway to North Captiva beaches accessible only by boat or plane, you will watch dolphins at play and shell along pristine beaches that only few have the opportunity to experience. The group will stop for lunch at Barnacle Phil's, on North Captiva Island. . Lunch is not included in the price of the tickets.
The trip will depart from Port Sanibel Marina at 9 a.m. and will return to port at about 3 p.m.
$65.00 for non-museum members / $55.00 for museum members
