Barrier Island Shelling Adventure !

Join Adventures In Paradise and Shell Museum Director/Curator, Dr. José Leal,as he leads us in the discovery and excitement of finding and learning about shells…where shells come from….what shells do….and why we love shells so much!
On February 5, 2011 Adventures In Paradise is sponsoring a boat cruise and shelling adventure, led by the area's leading shell expert, Dr. José H. Leal, Director/Curator for the Shell Museum. Dr. Leal will spend the day with guests assisting with shell identification as well as leading a discussion on mollusks and the environment. Adventures In Paradise will donate all event proceeds to The Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum.
Participants will board a 45 foot powered catamaran and enjoy a beautiful one hour cruise through the intracoastal waterway to North Captiva beaches accessible only by boat or plane, you will watch dolphins at play and shell along pristine beaches that only few have the opportunity to experience. The group will stop for lunch at Barnacle Phil's, on North Captiva Island. . Lunch is not included in the price of the tickets.
The trip will depart from Port Sanibel Marina at 9 a.m. and will return to port at about 3 p.m.
$55.00 ea. adult for museum members / $45.00 ea. child for museum members
$65.00 ea. adult for non-muesum members / $55.00 ea. child for non-museum members
Can't go on the 5th? The regular Shelling & Lunch cruise is offered Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday!
